Fall and Spring Seasons

Our main program includes Fall and Spring seasons, with new teams formed each Fall and all returning players remaining on these teams during Spring with the same coach for both seasons.  Most games take place Saturday mornings at Monroe M.S. soccer fields.  Teams typically play eight or nine games each season. Some games (only for the older divisions) will be played in Creswell and Springfield.  All age divisions are co-ed with both girls and boys playing on the same team.

Age Divisions  (“U” stands for “under”)

As registration allows, teams are formed around neighborhood schools.  Each team determines their particular practice schedule.  Most teams practice once or twice a week (commonly, Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings around 5:30 pm or 6:00 pm for about one hour) at school fields located in your general area of town.  All coaches receive training every season regardless of experience and all are volunteers.

U5 will be a jamboree format with players meeting only once a week on Saturday mornings for about one hour at Monroe M.S..  This division is led/coached by an individual specifically trained to work with this age group and children who are new to soccer.  The activities are explicitly designed to be approachable by four-year-old players.  U5 players will participate in several fun game activities and then be divided into ad-hoc teams and play a couple short 3V3 soccer games.  Parent involvement is not only allowed but is strongly encouraged.  League t-shirts will be provided for each U5 player with the cost included in the registration fee.  No LYSA uniform kit will be required for U5 players.

U6 and older players will be assigned specific teams that will practice during the week and play scheduled games on Saturday mornings at Monroe M.S..  U6 and above players will be required to purchase the LYSA uniform kit.

Summer Camp

Lane Youth Soccer also offers a week-long summer camp.  This camp is open to all community members; your player does not need to have played in Fall or Spring season to attend our camp.  The camp instructors are trained, professional or semi-professional soccer players often from the United Kingdom and/or other European countries.  Click here for more information:  Summer Camp.
