This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Belize Medical Associates COVID-19 MAP Lab.This test has been authorized bythe Ministry of Health & Wellness. This test has been validated in accordance with the Ministry of Health's Guidance Document (Policy for Diagnostics Testing in Laboratories Certified To Perform High Complexity Testing under CLIA Coronavirus Disease-2021). This test is only authorized for the duration of time the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of the emergency use of in vitro diagnostic tests for detection of Sars-CoV-2 virus and/or diagnosis of COVID-19 infection. Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for patient management decisions. Negative results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, and epidemiological information. This testing was performed using the ThermoFisher TaqPath COVID-19 Combo Kit or the SalivaDirect protocol at the Belize Medical Associates COVID-19 MAP Lab, 5791 St. Thomas St., P.O. Box 1008, Belize City, Belize.
